Chris Nunn Woodturning

My name is Chris Nunn and thank you for visiting the Chris Nunn Woodturning Website. It is my aim to show you how I can turn pieces of wood into beautifully rich bowls, using the skills of woodturning. I call this "From Tree to Bowl".

I began woodturning as a hobby some 30 years ago, whilst I was living down-under in Australia. The wood that I found there was so beautiful, it inspired me to begin woodturning.

I originally trained in Hydraulic Engineering and after having been made redundant 15 years ago, I decided to take the plunge and make a profession out of my passion.

I find woodturning both beautiful and inspiring and always try to put an emphasis on letting the beauty of the wood itself shine through in all of the work that I undertake.

All of the wood that I use is sourced locally (see Source-Wood page) and always comes from sustainable trees.
